Formerly the Senior Vice President of IT for OmniChannel Technologies at Lowe's, Scott is a former Captain in the US Army, having served in the 10th Mountain Division from 1988 to 1992. After that, he began his career in Information Technology with Mobil Oil (now ExxonMobil) which was headquartered in Fairfax, VA at the time. A few years later, Scott joined L.L. Bean Inc. in Freeport, Maine where he spent 17 years in various technology positions. Scott led the development and deployment of systems in support of many key business initiatives. This included launching mail order and call center systems in Tokyo, Japan, new order management systems, warehouse management systems, and retail supply chain systems in support of the US retail business. Scott concluded his career at L.L. Bean, Inc. as head of IT Planning and Architecture, and in 2011 joined Lowe’s Companies, Inc. to form the Enterprise Architecture practice. After three years Scott assumed leadership of the newly formed IT team supporting international and all new businesses. As the VP IT – International & New Businesses, Scott reported to the global CIO and the President of Lowe’s International & New Businesses. Scott was responsible for leading all IT strategy, development and support for businesses other than the US Home Improvement business, spanning Mexico, Canada, and the United States. In 2017 Scott was promoted to Senior Vice President IT, OmniChannel Technologies. Scott was responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, development and support for all omnichannel systems, including digital, stores, contact centers, supply chain, merchandising, marketing and the home improvement professional business.
