As CIO of the Global Support Office of Ahold Delhaize, Michael Laurenti has overall responsibility for Information Technology, which supports the company’s millions of customers, 100,000 associates and 1,300 stores. In this role, Laurenti serves also as member of the Delhaize America Leadership Team.

Laurenti joined Delhaize America in 2014 as the company’s CIO. He is an accomplished information technology leader, with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining Delhaize America, Laurenti served as executive VP and CIO at Belk Department Stores, the largest privately held department store chain in the country. At Belk, he led a team that was responsible for the development, deployment and support of all technology solutions for the retailer. In addition, he has held information technology leadership positions at Family Dollar Stores, Linens ‘N’ Things and Toys “R” Us.

Laurenti holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Business Administration from Cornell University. He resides in Matthews, N.C., with his wife and two children.
