Mr. Goodwin joined Atrium Health in 2004 and has overall responsibility for information services in the Charlotte metropolitan area, with a focus on deploying electronic health records and other clinical technology solutions. Atrium Health is the largest healthcare system in the Carolinas, and the third largest non-profit public system in the nation. CHS diverse network of more than 650 care locations includes academic medical centers, hospitals, healthcare pavilions, physician practices, surgical and rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, nursing homes, and hospice & palliative care. These operations employ some 48,000 people. Prior to joining Atrium Health, Mr. Goodwin was a Partner at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) in the Health Services Practice where he assisted clients with strategic information systems planning, operational improvement and the implementation of large change programs. Mr. Goodwin received his bachelor degree in economics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
